What is a HGPC?

A High Growth Potential Company is a company within which there is identified potential for them to grow their business to a new level within 3 years. The new level as defined could be either in terms of number and quality of employees, revenue, markets accessed, market share and profitability.

    3. Must demonstrate how the growth plan will lead to specific measurable increases in competitiveness and productivity within your company
    4. Must demonstrate the potential to increase output, productivity and value added while maintaining and/or increasing employment in the company in the longer term

What does the process involve?

An initial pre-assessment questionnaire needs to be completed and submitted to determine whether the company meets the criteria.

If your company meets the criteria, a recommendation is made to the BDCs Evaluation Committee who considers and agrees or disagrees with the recommendation.

If the recommendation is accepted, a meeting is scheduled for an initial diagnostic with a BDC representative and the Consultant assigned to the project.

A report is generated and an action plan developed.

The action plan is presented to the client. Once accepted, the assigned BDC Officer, together with input from the Consultant, works with the client to meet the milestones and deliverables identified in the action plan.

The intervention takes place over the period of 24 months with the expressed aim of delivering on the action plan to realize the stated objectives.

How much will this cost me?

There is an initial enrolment fee of $XXXX towards the cost of the business diagnostic and preparation of your action plan. Thereafter there are NO additional fees to be paid to the BDC.

Preferential rates apply for registration in training programmes offered by the BDC, as they arise. The BDC also stands ready to support other initiatives that we believe to be beneficial to the company in the context of realizing the identified objectives outlined in the action plans of each company.
